Autumn fruits @ The Lodge, Arrowtown

It's that time of year again when the hillsides look like they're on fire as leaves change from green to red to yellow. Arrowtown is having its Autumn festival right now and that is the place to be, absolutely stunning! However in Queenstown Arrowtown and Wanaka at the moment outside its currently snowing and has been for 2 days straight, has winter come early? Probably not, but its great to see the seasons battle against each other!

A well deserved Easter break nearing the end of another very busy summer of weddings in Queenstown and Wanaka took us over to Sydney, where we indulged ourselves in some fantastic eateries, top picks were The Lodge Wine Bar in Balmain and MoVida in Surry Hills and we can never go past Messina for gelato, we both had salted caramel with raspberry puree and chunks of hokey pokey YUM!

I always seem to come home with some sort of culinary treasures, this time it was a few sets of plates for private dining and some platters for our larger events and of course a cook book. As always, while Debs shops I find a nice cosy spot in Dymocks in the cooking isle undisturbed for hours!

Sydneys a town full of inspiration and surprise and a leader in gastronomy, thanks for the visit, see you next time 👍
